ケビントとは、薬品などを収納する医療棚のこと。その昔、医療用語として使われていたドイツ語のキャビネットを意味する言葉が語源となり、ケビントという発音で定着した日本ならではの呼称です。Fate industriesのステンレスケビントは、医療棚であったケビントのスタイルを継承し、家具として現代のライフスタイルでのご使用に叶うようディティールを再構築したステンレスキャビネットです。
オールステンレス製のキャビネットの製作にあたり、FATE INDUSTRIESではその特性でもある重厚感の引き算を設計の要と考えました。Mサイズの外寸は□400の正方形。四角柱のようにまっすぐ空間に佇む単体としての美しさを意識しています。繊細な六角の把手や装飾脚など上品なディティールを加えることで、主張しすぎることない佇まいを実現しました。金属ならではの無機質な質感に相反して、滑らかに角を落とした優しく柔らかな表面仕上げは、木製家具や天然素材のラグなどをお使いのインテリアとも共存し得る美しさを兼ね備えています。
高さを調整できる棚板もすべて丈夫なステンレス製。水回りでの使用はもちろんのこと、重量のある食器類や書籍、オーディオの傍ではレコードやCDなどの音源収納としても最適です。ディスプレイ棚としても品々を美しく引き立ててくれるキャビネットです。
The Kevint medical cabinet, originally designed for storing medicines and other items, has been re-imagined by FATE INDUSTRIES into a modern piece of furniture to meet today’s lifestyle needs. Drawing inspiration from the medical cabinet’s style, the stainless steel cabinet from FATE INDUSTRIES retains the essence of Kevint while being redesigned for contemporary living.
The outer dimensions of the M size are □400 square. This version is designed to be aesthetically pleasing as a stand-alone piece, standing tall like a square pillar. With the same elegant hexagonal handles and decorative legs, it presents a subtle, refined appearance that isn’t overpowering. The inorganic texture of the metal is balanced by the smooth, soft surface finish and rounded corners, allowing it to complement wooden furniture and natural rugs in your interior.
The height-adjustable shelves are made from sturdy stainless steel, offering durability and functionality for various uses. This cabinet is built to withstand wet areas and store heavy items such as crockery and books, making it a practical addition as both storage and a display shelf.

作業工程に伴った足跡が少しずつ残っていきます。ケビントの扉には小さな水玉のスポット溶接跡が薄く見えることがありますが、製作工程の一つとしてご了承ください。
