しっかりとした重みのあるステンレス板フレームで構成されつつ、薄く軽やかな容姿を実現したのは、FATE INDUSTRIESが誇る薄板の加工技術。

極めてシンプルに削ぎ落としたこの形状。ネジや留め具を一切使わず、板のみで成立するシンプルな構造であるがゆえに、その板材の持つたわみの特性と向き合い、ステンレス加工において最も難しい歪みの調整には困難を極めました。板厚、曲げ方向、溶接箇所と何パターンもの試作を重ねてたどり着いた完成形。組立を伴わないで仕上げた滑らかなサーフェスは、金属加工という工程を経た工業製品でありながら、どこか柔らかく繊細な印象を孕んでいます。

一コマ分の目隠し板は、背板として裏側においても、表面に向けてお使いいただくことも。
フラットに収まる３段引き出しのオプションもお選び頂けます。(+70,000円 税抜)

RECTANGLES is a modular collection of rectangular units that can be combined in various shapes and layouts to suit your needs. The thin, lightweight appearance is achieved through FATE INDUSTRIES' innovative thin sheet processing technology, while the sturdy stainless steel frame adds a solid weight that ensures balance and stability. This fusion results in a minimalist design with a sophisticated simplicity. The product’s clean lines and straightforward structure are achieved without the use of screws or fasteners. However, this simple design presented challenges in handling the deflection of the sheet material—a technical hurdle that required extensive prototyping. Adjustments to plate thickness, bending direction, welding points, and other variables were crucial to achieve the desired result. Despite the industrial manufacturing process, the smooth surface gives the piece a soft, delicate impression. The blind plate can serve as a backboard when placed on the back side or as a facing surface. A flat-fitting three-drawer option (+70,000 yen excl. tax) is also available for added versatility. Mix and match the units freely to create your own unique layout.
