フラットなステンレス鋼板から生み出される３次元立体。
岩盤より採掘された岩のように、複雑でありながら自然界に存在しうる形状をモチーフにデザインしました。

一見、鋳物や型抜き工法のようですが、実は一枚の板より折り目の角度を緻密に計算し、折り紙を折るように曲げ、溶接と研磨を重ねて実現した熟練技術の工芸品ともいうべき製品。

天然の鉱物を原料として生み出されたステンレスという金属。不規則に配合された多数の鉱物より成り立つ自然界の石に対し、管理された鉱物が規則的に配合されて成立しているステンレス。鏡面仕上げを施した天面に映り込む景色が、ステンレスと自然界を再び繋ぎ合わせます。

ただ、そこに在るもの。まるで採掘されたかのように。



A three-dimensional structure crafted from flat stainless steel. Inspired by rocks excavated from bedrock, its design captures the complexity and organic beauty found in nature. At first glance, it may appear to be the result of casting or die-cutting, but in reality, the fold angles are meticulously calculated from a single sheet of stainless steel. The metal is then bent like origami, reflecting skilled craftsmanship through the welding and polishing process.
Stainless steel itself is born from natural minerals. While natural stone is composed of randomly blended elements, stainless steel is created through a controlled composition of minerals. The mirror-polished surface reflects its surroundings, subtly reconnecting this industrial material with the natural world.

It is simply there—just as if it had been mined from the depths of the earth.
